UW is planning to return to full capacity for the 2021 season, UW athletic director Tom Burman told the Star-Tribune. Burman also said fans, including students, won’t be required to be vaccinated in order to attend games. “It puts a smile on my face. It’s not just about money. It’s about the experience,” Burman said. “I watched the PGA Championship the other day and I watched people following Phil (Mickelson) a...

While they have yet to win a game this season, the Green River High School softball team continues to work towards improving themselves daily. “Being a member of Wolves softball isn’t easy and it isn’t for everyone. We have high expectations and these young women are rising to the challenge,” head coach Blair Aimone said. Part of that improvement is being seen in the team’s pitcher and catcher, Terryn Avery and Lani Jo Blaylock. “There is no bond like the bond of a pitcher and catcher once they start to work together,” she said. “Catchers hav...

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is proposing to reduce antelope license quotas for the 2021 hunting season. In many hunt areas, the proposals cut the quota due to impacts from persistent drought conditions and the record-breaking 2021 spring blizzard. The license reductions should be short-term, according to wildlife managers who believe the conservative proposals for each herd will stabilize pronghorn populations and allow them to bounce back. Fluctuations of the number of pronghorn licenses Game and Fish offers is not uncommon, said...

For head coach Kahler Dawson, the Powell loss in particular is something he hopes will serve as a wake-up call for his players. While he said he liked the fact the Wolves never gave up during the game, despite facing a steep score deficit, Dawson knows his players are better than they’ve been playing. “We’re not a boom ball team,” Dawson said, saying the term “boom ball” means players and teams who simply kick the soccer ball hard o...
