The Green River Girls Wrestling team competed in the first-ever Wyoming Girls State Championships this past Thursday and Friday, February 23 and 24, in Casper at the Wyoming Ford Center. There were 30 teams competing, and the Lady Wolves finished in the top half of the state with a 13th-place finish. The Lady Wolves played the annual Make-A-Wish basketball game against the Rock Springs Lady Tigers last Thursday. Green River took the lead in the first quarter, outscoring Rock Springs 22-13. On Thursday, February 23 the Wolves played a game against the Tigers in Rock Springs. The gym at the Rock Springs High School was full during the Make-A-Wish game for these two rivalry teams. It was another fun-filled weekend of basketball for the Lady Wolves. They traveled to Riverton on Friday to play the Wolverines.
