The Green River High School Athletics Department recently announced the decision to hire Blaine Christensen as the new Green River High School Head Football Coach. Christensen was selected to replace previous Coach Kevin Cuthbertson, who stepped down at the end of the season last year. The Green River Girls and Boys Track and Field team kicked off their outdoor season with a trip south to compete with 24 other teams from around the region in the Early Bird Invitational. The meet was hosted in Orem, Utah at the Mountain View High School track Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18. The Green River Girls Wrestling team competed in the first-ever Wyoming Girls State Championships this past Thursday and Friday, February 23 and 24, in Casper at the Wyoming Ford Center. There were 30 teams competing, and the Lady Wolves finished in the top half of the state with a 13th-place finish.
