    The day he was born, his parents knew he had a 50/50 chance of getting the disease. Jesse Laughter, a lifelong Green River resident, always knew he had a chance of getting polycystic kidney disease, which affects the kidneys and other organs. Clusters of cysts develop in the kidneys and interfere with the kidneys' ability to filter waste products from the blood. The continued growth of these cysts can lead to kidney failure. For several weeks, volunteers of the Golden Hour Senior Center have been selling baked goods at the Green River Farmers' Market and they have been pretty successful. The Rock Springs Disabled American Veterans Chapter 12 continues to raise money to help veterans in need.     Western Wyoming Community College in partnering with Wyoming Works to help adult learners pay for college. The programs qualifying for Wyoming Works are those which meet labor and economic development needs. The Wyoming Legislature allocated $5 million to support the program, with $3 million to be used for individual student grants and the remaining $2 million to support program development.
