The Green River Greenbelt Task Force continues to steadily work on their goals as they maintain and develop the greenbelt and land around Green River. Loved ones, caregivers and supporters of Wyomingites living with Alzheimer's disease will join together Saturday, Aug. 24, for the Sweetwater County Walk to End Alzheimer's. One of seven Alzheimer's Association of Wyoming Walks to End Alzheimer's in 2024, the Walk in Rock Springs will raise funds to provide essential services to families and support research to find a cure. The Green River Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 23rd Annual River Festival this weekend, August 16 and 17. The Chamber, which is a non-profit organization that is "working to provide the community with a quality event for both spectators and participants," gave details about this year's festival in a press release. This past weekend, crowds of admirers flocked to the 2024 Green River Pond and Garden Tour. The tour included eight houses in Green River and two in Rock Springs.
