The annual Green River Pond and Garden Tour has returned. The 2022 tour will open the garden gates to 11 garden homes in Green River and Rock Springs Saturday, Aug. 6. The tour will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to the public. Tour guides are available at Riverside Nursery and the Green River Chamber of Commerce. Three Green River High School students recently received the Maicy Braden Scholarship for 2022. This year, the $500 memorial scholarships were awarded to Cody Price, Ridge Hester and Andrew Winters. Former Green River residents Victor and Phyllis Coffey celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on July 3. Victor and Phyllis currently live in Madera Ranchos, California. Green River's "Concert at the Clocktower" series is back for the summer. The first concert was July 7, and the series will continue through at least the end of August with a concert every week except August 4, which is during the Sweetwater County Fair. Local mine rescue teams recently practiced their skills and competed against one another during a four-day competition.
