The inductees were honored during the Wolves varsity football game against Rawlins Sept. 9 and officially inducted during the 2022 Hall of Fame Banquet the next night. Green River Fire Department will be hosting a 9/11 Memorial Walk on September 11. The walk will take place beginning at Fire Station Two, 500 Shoshone Ave. The walk will begin by walking up Shoshone Avenue to Uinta, then turn right at Uinta to Monroe Avenue, then down Monroe Avenue to Hitching Post Drive and back to Station Two. The Sweetwater County Walk to End Alzheimer's is coming to Green River for the first time in four years. The 17th annual Art on the Green event held August 19 and 20 was well received by the community. Four local mine rescue teams from Genesis Alkali and Sisecam recently competed at the annual Mine Safety Health Administration National Mine Rescue Competition in Lexington, Kentucky.
