    The Green River Police Department lost a beloved member in its drug dog Ridex last week, following his death after an unexpected illness. The department announced Ridex’s death last Thursday. He was assigned to work with Sgt. Brad Halter and had been with the department since 2017. Ridex primarily conducted drug-related searches and assisted with other searches as needed.     The Monroe water line project has been delayed due to frost still in the ground. Public Works Director Mark Westenskow says the project was originally set to start March 22, however, will be delayed one month due to the frost. Rock Springs contractor Lewis and Lewis was awarded the bid in February by the City Council. The enclosed map shows the project.     Green River will be the first city in Wyoming to receive a police therapy dog following an approval by the Green River City Council last week. The Council approved a $6,000 grant to purchase Buddy, a black Labrador retriever, who will serve as the department’s therapy dog. Sweetwater County District Court Judge Suzannah Robinson sentenced Stephanie Nomis to two to six years in the Wyoming Women’s Center or other correctional facility for felony theft.
