At approximately 4:52 pm on Monday, September 26, the Green River Fire Department, along with the Green River Police Department and Castle Rock Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a grass fire in the area of Cumorah Way in Green River. Governor Mark Gordon has appointed James Kaste to be a District Court Judge for the Third Judicial District serving Lincoln, Sweetwater and Uinta Counties. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking information on a mule deer that was illegally shot in the city of Green River. The buck deer was found injured by elementary school students on Sept. 15 in the vicinity of Arkansas and Alabama Streets. Upon responding to the report of the injured deer, the animal was euthanized by department personnel.
