    While Friday the 13th is an unlucky day in Western superstition, that was not the case for the Green River High School Track and Field team. The Wolves hosted the 2016 4A Regional meet, with a great start Friday and continued on with some excellent performances on Saturday at Wolves Stadium.   • Karate school competes in regional tournaments

    Green River's school of Pineda's Kenpo Karate attended regional tournaments in Farmington and Ogden, Utah and Missoula, Mont., recently. They competed with some different team members and still had the same great results, instructor Jim Dean said. He said the school has brought together one of their most dominate teams in their history this year. The team traveled to Farmington, Utah for the Avalanche National NBL tournament, March 19.     Green River's Zac Taylor picked up his second win of the season in the Colorado Alliance Tour 305 Sprint Cars at Lamar Speedway in Lamar, Colo., Friday following that up with a second-place run at El Paso County Raceway on Saturday.
