Shortly before the start of the Christmas break, students at Expedition Academy hosted students from Truman Elementary School for a fun-filled afternoon geared to get the students into the Christmas spirit. Prior to the Christmas break, the Green River High School boys swim team attended the Rock Springs swim meet and came in first. "The Rock Springs meet was pretty interesting. A Green River High School graduate recently earned the title of All-American after a national cross-country competition. Braden Reichl, the son of Dawn and Aaron Reichl of Green River and who is a sophomore at the D-2 school Michigan Tech University, recently completed in the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships. The speech team competed against 20 teams this weekend and came in third place. The sixth penny improvement tax is almost certain be on the 2020 ballot. Both cities, as well as the county’s outlying towns, will need infrastructure improvements beyond what they can provide from their budgets. For Green River specifically, the city will need to start securing funding for its wastewater treatment plant and the improvement projects tax would make for an excellent source to receive some of that money.
