Water Treatment Plant Operator/Relief Operator

The GR/RS/Sw. Co.-Joint Powers Water Board (JPWB) is accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Operator/Relief Operator. This full-time, benefited position at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Green River, Wyoming is on a rotating shift schedule. The position is responsible for (but not limited to) the operation of all WTP systems, monitoring of remote pumping stations and routine maintenance of all equipment and facilities. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma/GED and Valid Driver’s License. A “Wyoming Water Treatment Operator” License (Levels I, II, III or IV) is preferred but not required at initial employment. The WTP is classified as a Level IV plant, thus Level IV licensing (within 5 years of employment) will be a requirement of continued employment. The JPWB offers an excellent benefit package including full participation in the Wyoming Retirement System and Health Insurance. Hourly wage scale for this position is currently $23.95/hour to $35.95/hour; with the max wage requiring Level IV Wyoming Water Treatment Operator License and significant (on-site) experience. Entry level wage will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
