Last week, members of the Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center’s board of trustees voted to fire its executive director, who had been placed on administrative leave since October. According to a release from the CDC, the board voted to fire Wall Dec. 9 after an executive session used to discuss the termination. A Saturday outing at the Flaming Gorge turned tragic when a vehicle rolled into to the water, resulting in the death of a four-year-old girl. According to a press release from the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, four-year-old Natalie Gibson died in the incident. The release states emergency responders were notified of the incident at around 4 p.m. Saturday. The Green River Chamber of Commerce Adopt-A-Tree program is now underway and residents can adopt one of the trees along Uinta Drive. To obtain a tree visit the chamber’s office. Once a tree is selected, residents will then have to decide if they want to decorate a tree themselves or if they would like to have the Green River High School band decorate it for them. The Green River middle school girl’s swim team continued to shine with an impressive 116 to 38 home victory last Thursday over Rawlins. The Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County Foundation received a special donation from a local mine at a meeting last week.
