    Three employees of the Green River Hampton Inn and Suites were recognized at the quarterly REACH (Rare and Exceptional Achievement for Customer service in Hospitability) awards last month, according to a press release issued by the Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism Board.     The Green River High School wrestling team started the season strong with a second-place finish in Evanston over the weekend. The Wolves scored 202.5 points during the tournament, coming up short against Spring Creek High School from Nevada and its tournament-winning 215 points. The third-place Bear River, Utah, team scored 171 points. The tournament also saw a few Wolves crowned as champions of their divisions.     While the race director for the Race on the Rock Triathlon will be stepping down, the event will continue. Outgoing race director Traci Ciepiela will be replaced with Cate Miller of Rock Springs. Miller is a triathlete, as well as a military veteran, cancer survivor and mother. The reason she decided to take over is because she didn’t like the idea of the race ending.     The search for a Rock Springs resident continues nearly a week after he was reported missing to the Rock Springs Police Department. Terry Meador, 74, was initially reported missing Oct. 25 and was believed to have gone hunting by himself near Pine Mountain south of Rock Springs. His pickup truck was found badly stuck north of Pine Mountain. Meador’s rifle was found inside the cab.     A former Green River resident and longtime mayor of the city died Thursday at his home in Laramie. Richard Waggener was born in Green River Jan. 24, 1930, and would become a key member of the community before leaving the city in 1988. Waggener was elected to the Green River City Council in 1969 and served as Green River’s mayor form 1971 to 1983.     A 48-year-old Utah man drowned while competing in a fishing derby Saturday afternoon. The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Lance Heninger of North Ogden, Utah.
