A broken-down vehicle led to the recovery of a 10-year-old child abducted from Idaho Falls, Idaho. According the Wyoming Highway Patrol, at 7:08 a.m., a WHP trooper was notified of a broken-down vehicle near mile marker 32 on Wyoming Highway 430 south of Rock Springs. A fire Saturday afternoon resulted in the Green River Fire Department sending two trucks and 28 firefighters to combat the blaze. According to a media release from the city, firefighters were dispatched to 1210 Midwest Drive after a fire broke out from a wood-burning stove placed in the residence’s garage. Golden Hour Senior Center is helping house-bound seniors in Rock Springs receive meals after the Young at Heart Senior Center had to temporarily close due to COVID-19. Jackie Grubb, executive director at Golden Hour, said the center was contacted Friday by Young at Heart’s acting director, requesting help for the Rock Springs seniors. According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the body male was discovered alone in his camper near Anvil Draw by a concerned resident and is believed to have been there for several months. A resolution approved last week by the Green River City Council will allow Wyoming Downs to operate at 110 Uinta Drive, a location formerly operated by Stellar Coffee. During the council meeting, Eugene Joyce, managing partner for Wyoming Downs, said they were unable to continue the lease agreement with Town Bar and Grill, which has forced them to find another location.
