Three Green River High School students recently received the Maicy Braden Scholarship for 2022. This year, the $500 memorial scholarships were awarded to Cody Price, Ridge Hester and Andrew Winters. The industrial arts scholarship was named for a GRHS student who tragically died in an automobile crash October 3, 2016. The Green River Knights B team took on the Rock Springs B team Thursday, July 7 in Green River, taking the lead in the fifth inning and coming up with a 5-3 victory. Pitching for the Knights was Brackin Lail who surrendered three runs on five hits during five innings and struck out five players. A group of concerned residents from Wyoming Wildlife Protection Group got together to protest the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus when it came to Green River last weekend. The protest was organized by Shane Siler, who was joined by Madhu Anderson from Rock Springs and Steve Blunt from Green River on the day of the circus. Two vehicle accidents in Sweetwater County last week led to multiple injuries and one death. A fatal crash occurred at milepost 506 on US 191 south of Rock Springs in the early morning hours of June 19, according to a press release from Wyoming Highway Patrol.
