    The Wolves’ depth showed through once more as they came up against a tough Torrington team with less than 20 players on their football team. But with one of Wyoming’s most dominating linemen, finishing the game 28-14, and earning another win.     A packed house of mostly, the hometown, Green River Wolves supporters came out to be entertained by some good high school football and the Wolves did not disappoint with a dominating performance on both sides of the ball. The Rawlins Outlaws started strong on their first series of downs with a good combination of accurate passing and strong running to score a touchdown and went to 6-0 after, the Wolves blocked the extra-point attempt.     In pre-game comments head coach Don Maggi appeared to be spot on in his analysis of both his team and his opponents strengths and weaknesses. Maggi said this might be his best offensive line since he has been at Green River, with all seniors including Hunter Spartz and Gabe Bunderman at tackles, center William Harvey, and Malik Kalivas and Blake Waite at guards.     The Green River Knights baseball season came to an abrupt end last week as the Knights lost their first two games of the double elimination state tournament. In two close games, a one run loss in the opener Wednesday to the No. 3 seed from the North, the Riverton Raiders 2-1, then exchanging leads for 10 innings with the Cody Cubs, before finally being eliminated by the two-time defending state champs 14-13.     The Green River Knights started the past week with a double header July 13 against the Cheyenne Hawks. In the opener, the Knights were explosive as they scored 15 runs to defeat the Hawks 15-7. In the second game, they lost a close match 8-7, then concluded their series with the Hawks in another close loss 5-3 to end up 2-2 with Cheyenne..     The Knights American Legion baseball team traveled to Douglas, Thursday for five games in three days, culminating in a third place finish in the Bolin Memorial Tournament. In their first game Thursday the knights defeated the locals as they downed Douglas 7-3. Alex Hietzman, Brendan Hopkins, Andrew Munoz and Trevor Zumwalt led the way for the Knights on offense as they combined for nine hits and accounted for four runs.     The Green River Knights finish with third place at the end of an invitational tournament the team hosted during the weekend. The Knights started strong Saturday afternoon with an impressive 10-3 win over the Douglas Cats. Tyler Vendetti led off with a double to left, followed by Trevor Zumwalt who placed a bunt down the third base line. Brendan Hopkins then drove in Vendetti and Zumwalt to go up 2-0.     After winning the Roy Peck Memorial Tournament in Riverton the previous weekend, the Green River Knights were ready for action at the Sand Puppy American Legion Tournament last weekend in Rock Springs.     The Green River girls team, with only three seniors out of the eight state qualifiers, had a good performance finishing seventh out of the field of 10 teams. Green River's best sprinter, sophomore Andri Dewey, recovering from a muscle pull, finished 11th in the preliminaries 100-meter dash, exactly one-half second out of second place.     While Friday the 13th is an unlucky day in Western superstition, that was not the case for the Green River High School Track and Field team. The Wolves hosted the 2016 4A Regional meet, with a great start Friday and continued on with some excellent performances on Saturday at Wolves Stadium.     The Green River Wolves tennis team played against a Riverton squad consisting of nine girls Thursday for the last match of their spring season. According to head tennis coach Phil Harder, each team and player competed in at least three matches for the round robin format.
