Teams from Evanston, Rock Springs, Jackson, Natrona and Kelly Walsh also competed at the meet. Weather resulted in the Wolves outdoor track team canceling their first scheduled meet in Kearns, Utah. In order to avoid a second cancellation, the Pete Olsen Memorial Track Meet in Big Piney was rescheduled from March 23 to March 21 to avoid a forecasted snow storm. Seven area teams participated in the local meet, including the host Big Piney, Pinedale, Mountain View, Jackson, Farson-Eden, Lyman and Green River. Traveling to Gillette with 18 other teams from throughout the state, 22 members of the Green River High School indoor track teams took part in the final indoor track meet of the season, the State Indoor Track Championships. The Green River High School Girls and Boys Indoor Track team again headed south this past week to compete in Kerns, Utah, and Utah Valley State University for the two day Utah High School Track Coaches Association Indoor Invitational. The Wolves competed with 28 other girls teams and 33 other boys teams, with as many as 376 competitors in a single event.
