    Green River hosted the Worland Warriors on Hall of Fame night before a large home crowd, but were unable to secure a win in the high-scoring game. The Warriors came into Wolves Stadium with the largest contingent of players in the school's history, which included a number of experienced seniors on the roster.     The Green River Wolves took the long bus ride north Friday to take on the 1-0 Buffalo Bison. Learning from their defeat in Lander, theWolves showed significant improvement from the previous week with 316 yards of total offense, 261 yards of which came through Green River’s passing game.     The Green River High School track teams traveled to Casper to compete in the Wyoming High School Track Championships at Kelly Walsh High School this past Thursday through Saturday, earning one state title at the end of the event. For the Lady Wolves, there was only one competitor to finish in the top eight. One exception for the Boys was senior distance runner Greg Sherwin, who ran away from the competition and took first place in the 3,200-meter run in 10.42.17.     In a game that was much closer than the score indicates, the Star Valley Braves pulled away from the Wolves for the victory, eliminating the Wolves from the playoffs.     The Green River Wolves made a long road trip last Friday to take on the highly-ranked Cody Broncs, who were solid on both offense and defense throughout the night and moved their record to 6-1 on the season while the Wolves fell to 2-5.
