    Head football Coach Kevin Cuthbertson stepped down this week after a 2-7 season in which they failed to make the playoffs. Cuthbertson met with his players Monday to let them know. The Wolves’ final game of the season was a 44-7 loss against the Evanston Red Devils last Friday night, which eliminated Green River from the playoffs.     The Green River High School girls and boys cross country teams competed at the 3A State Championships at Wyoming Indian High School in Ethete this past Saturday. The young girls team, with five of six runners returning, finished sixth in the field of twelve teams with 96 runners. Leading the way for the Lady Wolves' runners was Isabelle Murdock who crossed the finish line in 16th place on the 5,000 meter course in 21:17.12.     The Green River Wolves football team traveled to Star Valley to take on the second ranked, 3A, 5-2 Star Valley Braves on Senior Night for the Braves. Star Valley amassed 222 yards running the ball and 224 yards passing with their quarterback throwing four touchdown passes.     Green River's boys and girls Cross Country teams competed this past week in the 3A West Conference Cross Country meet on a tough course at the Lander Golf and Country Club.     The Green River High School boys and girls Cross Country teams competed at the Evanston Invitational this past weekend against teams from Evanston and Lyman and a few competitors from Manila, Utah.     This past Friday the Green River Wolves hosted the 1-0 Lander Tigers who were fresh off a 54- 0 home win over Pinedale. The Tigers kicked to the Wolves with the ball going deep out of the end zone, preventing any return.
