    The Green River High School Boys and Girls Spring Tennis program will be getting underway Monday, March 31 again this year, according to Head Tennis Coach Phil Harder. The Tennis program will also include a component for the Middle School Club in which they will change things up so kids who do middle school spring sports can still play tennis with the GRHS teams in the evening after the high school practice.     Green River High School's Outdoor Track and Field kicked off the first spring sports season practice this past Monday, March 10. The first meet of the season will be today against the Kelly Walsh Quad at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper.     This past week the Green River High School Indoor Track team sent a small team of qualifiers to State. Seven girls and 12 boys traveled to Gillette to compete against a strong field of 14 other 4A teams for the 2025 State Indoor Track Championships.     The Green River Wolves Wrestling teams sent their State qualifies to Casper this weekend to compete at the 2025 4A State Wrestling Championships. The State tournament took place from Thursday, Feb. 27 to Saturday, March 1 at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.     The Green River Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams traveled to Laramie to compete for their last opportunity to qualify for State. The “Last Chance” Meet took place at the University of Wyoming’s Memorial Field House Indoor Track.     After competing two weeks ago in an Indoor Track meet in Pocatello, Idaho, a number of Green River High School athletes qualified for the highly prestigious 45th Annual Simplot Games on the same track, which took place this past week. Green River took six girls and eight boys to the event. In addition to a large number of teams from Idaho, Utah, Montana and Wyoming, there were teams from all over the United States, Canada and Australia, with as many as 350 competitors in some events.     Last Wednesday, the Green River High School Wrestling teams hit the road and traveled to Evanston to compete in a dual meet with the Evanston Red Devils. Evanston prevailed in a close meet for the boys Varsity, winning with a team score of 41-32. The girls meet was not scored.     Green River’s Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams competed this past week at Idaho State University’s Holt Areana in Pocatello, Idaho for the Dragalia Invite, going up against 38 teams from five states.     This past Thursday the Green River Wolves Wrestling teams hosted the always-tough Star Valley Braves. The Braves lived up to their reputation as one of the strong programs in the state, winning the Boys Varsity 40-28, the Girls Varsity 36-9 and the Boys Junior Varsity 60-20 for a clean sweep in the dual match competition.     In one of the largest in-state wrestling tournaments of the year, the Wolves Wrestling team traveled to Riverton this past weekend to participate in the Ron Thon Invitational. Taking place at Riverton High School on Friday and Saturday, the tournament had the Wolves competing against 41 other teams for the boys and 38 teams for the girls.     The Green River Girls and Boys Indoor Track Team traveled to Ogden, Utah this past Friday and Saturday to participate with dozens of high school and high school club teams in a huge regional meet.     The Green River High School Boys Varsity Wrestling team traveled by bus nearly 700 miles in approximately ten hours to participate in one of the top National High School Wrestling Tournaments in the nation this past week.
