    The Women's Club of Sweetwater County GFWC thanks everyone who attended or donated to or our recent Holiday House Fundraiser. The hostess for this event is given the opportunity to select a charity and the club gives 10% of the raffle sales to that charity. This year our hostess Kolbi Mckenzie selected the Sweetest Foundation, an organization set up to help those who are considering suicide. The club presented her with a check for $241 for this cause.     The GFWC Women's Club of Sweetwater County met for their General Meeting on October 17 at Siam King. The speaker for the luncheon was Stephanie Dupape from Wyoming Cancer Resource Services. She spoke about her program and some of the services such as Healthy You Class, Various Support Groups and resources available. She can help through Wyoming Cancer Resource with mammogram, colonoscopy and cervical cancer screening costs. She also talked about mammograms starting at age 40 and things to watch...

    The GFWC Women's Club of Sweetwater County met on September 19. The meeting was held at White Mountain Library. The board members provided a taco/nacho bar for lunch. There wasn't a speaker as there was a lot of catching up to do after three months off from general meetings. We awarded grants to four Western Wyoming Community College students prior to the meeting.     The general meeting of the Woman’s Club of Rock Springs was held on November 15, at White Mountain Library. This luncheon meeting was hosted by Jennie Malonek who brought turkey, stuffing and sweet potatoes. Members brought a variety of vegetables and desserts. Our speaker was Kim Seymour from Inside Connections. The members learned about the support given to expectant women through this program.
