Without a doubt, Jackson is the most expensive town in Wyoming. Hotel rates are high, the cost of a meal is high -- the town is a Mecca for tourists and businesses know it. That alone should not be enough to disqualify the town from hosting either regional or state tournaments. However, a policy amongst hotels used by high schools attending these events should cause officials at the Wyoming High School Activities Association to have second thoughts about using Jackson as a venue for those...

Allen quickly apologized for the tweets and the University of Wyoming quickly followed up with a short statement from the Cowboys’ head football coach Craig Bohl backing Allen up. “I know Josh has apologized for the Twitter comments he made while in hi...

The team is hitting the road once more this...

While the kids get a chance to enjoy being outside, their parents also get something from the evening. "Watching the kids outside, having fun, is my biggest...

A few weeks back, a comment made by school board member Ann Rudoff stuck out for me. During a vote to give the high school speech and debate team funding to help pay for their trip to nationals, Rudoff said she would vote against the proposal, saying a discussion needed to happen with the speech and debate team about Western Wyoming Community College, where Rudoff works. “Western is not an ugly place and Western has a good speech and debate team,” she said. While I wasn’t able to find out about...

The two tracts were appraised for $100,000 and New Peak was the sole bidder for the land, bidding $100,000. The...

Ask adults of a certain age what they remember most of their elementary school keyboarding class and they’ll likely say something about playing “The Oregon Trail.” The video game was a staple of the educational entertainment for kids during the 80s and early 90s. Children were tasked with guiding a group of five settlers along the trail from Independence, Mo., to the Willamette Valley in Oregon, facing the hardships settlers endured along the route. Death can be quick and merciless on the trail...
