For most, a vehicle is a means of getting from Point A to Point B; a machine simply used for transportation. For a few people however, a vehicle can mean much more and is a culmination of months or years of hard work to get every tiny detail exactly right. They’re works of art on four wheels an in some cases, once-rusted shells resurrected to cruise the open road again. At the 17th annual Sweetheart Car Show at Whisler Chevrolet Saturday, Green River resident Gus Mandros showed off his personal...

Flower planters along Flaming Gorge Way are up for adoption this summer as budget cuts have resulted in fewer plants along Green River's main street. While the Knights won their first game against Lovell 1-0, Lovell was able to tak...

While most were flocking to Evers Park and Expedition Island Saturday afternoon for the Flaming Gorge Days festivities, a small, dedicated group of men were stationed at Collier Park working to contact as many people as they could. Stationed near a portable radio antennae and talking to whomever they could make contact with, many would likely overlook the radio operators as a group of hobbyists enjoying the afternoon in the park. While that was true to a certain extent, the Sweetwater Amateur...

Driving along throughout Sweetwater County, it’s easy to become annoyed with one’s fellow motorist. I’m not annoyed too much with people who make a turn without using their signal or someone passing by me at 95 mph on Interstate 80. Those sorts of situations are understandable, even if the other driver is singing along to Taylor Swift’s latest breakup song on their way to karaoke. What I fail to grasp, and what never fails to annoy me, are the decorations and pieces of flair people sometim...
